The future is fast approaching, and Formula Student competitions from across the world are embracing AI and autonomous driving as not only new classes, but, in some cases like Germany, the exclusive class. We do not intend to be left behind in this rapidly changing world, and committing to research now means that we can hit the ground running when the time comes to develop a dedicated FSAI entry, either apart from or in concert with the human-piloted entry. For now, a research project, but I cannot emphasize enough the need to watch this space.
